About This Survey
A focused 12-question wellbeing survey built for nonprofit teams. It covers the areas that matter most in mission-driven organizations: workload, burnout risk, boundaries, purpose, psychological safety, manager support, team connection, compensation fairness, and retention. Every question points to something a nonprofit leader can act on.
What's Inside
One retention signal. Nine Likert-scale items, each measuring a distinct dimension of staff wellbeing with zero overlap. One burnout early-warning question drawn from the Maslach framework. One open-ended question to surface the single most impactful change your team needs.
How Long It Takes
3 to 4 minutes.
How Often to Run It
Twice a year for most nonprofits. If you're going through a period of change, growth, or high turnover, quarterly. Avoid running it during or within 60 days of a major disruption like layoffs or leadership changes. The data will reflect the crisis, not your baseline.
Anonymity
All responses are fully anonymous. No identifying information is collected or stored.
After the Survey
Read the report. Pick one or two things to act on, not five. Tell your team what you heard and what's changing. Do it within two weeks while it's still fresh. If people see their feedback led to something real, they'll be more honest next time. If nothing changes, they won't bother filling it in again.
