Culture Amp is excellent enterprise software. We say that as a competitor, and we mean it. The trouble starts under about 200 employees: the methodology assumes a program (a 57-question baseline, a quarterly cadence, benchmarking) and buyer data from Vendr puts the median Culture Amp contract at $23,270 a year. If that's a lot of machine for your size, here are 7 credible alternatives, including us, clearly labelled.
We make Org360, and it's on this list. Every price and rating is sourced and dated. Judge for yourself.

Why small companies look elsewhere
The price. Culture Amp doesn't publish prices. Spendflo says plans start at about $4,500 a year, and Vendr's buyer data puts the median contract at $23,270 a year. For a 60-person nonprofit, that's a budget line. A big one.
The weight. Capterra reviewers describe survey setup as painful, plus a house terminology that takes real time to learn. One reviewer, at a company that wasn't even large, found the flood of tasks and reminders created more confusion than focus.
Good software. Heavy software.
The program. Culture Amp's own methodology recommends a baseline of about 50 questions (the standard template runs 57) and a quarterly cadence. That's rigor, if you have an HR team to run it. Most sub-200 organizations don't.
And every survey nobody acts on burns trust with the people who answered it. Culture Amp themselves say survey fatigue is really lack-of-action fatigue. We agree. So run fewer, shorter surveys you can actually follow through on.
Above about 200 employees with a real HR function, Culture Amp is often the right call. Below that line, here's the field. For a side-by-side view, see Org360 vs Culture Amp.
Cheaper Culture Amp alternatives
If price is the reason you're looking, start with tools that publish their prices.
- Org360: your first survey is free, then $49 a survey. A year of 24 surveys is $250, at any headcount. Nonprofits get 40% off annual plans.
- ThriveSparrow and 15Five: engagement modules from $3 and $4 per person a month, billed annually.
- Workleap Officevibe: a flat $4,999 a year on the Standard plan.
For a 60-person team, per-person pricing at $4 a month comes to about $2,880 a year. A flat or per-survey price stays the same as you grow.
Easier options for small HR teams
If you're a team of one (or HR is half your job), setup time matters as much as price.
- Org360: pick a ready-made 12 or 24 question survey, send the link, and the report writes itself when the survey closes.
- Officevibe: short pulses that run on their own once set up.
- ThriveSparrow: quick pulses with little configuration.
Suites like Leapsome and Lattice do more, and they need someone to configure and run them.
The alternatives
Org360 (that's us): Short surveys of 12 or 24 questions, about 5 or 10 minutes. When the survey closes, you get a report written with Claude: scores by area, strengths, growth areas and a short action plan. Two confidentiality modes: in Standard, the report opens at 3 responses and comments appear without names; in Highest mode (Pro plan), the report opens at 5 responses and open-text answers are never shown, so the owner reads an AI summary instead. 8 languages on every plan, with one combined report. No per-employee pricing: your first survey is free, then $49 a survey, or $250 a year for 24 surveys. Best for: organizations under about 200 people that want honest engagement data this month.
Workleap Officevibe: The lightweight platform: short pulses, manager 1:1 tools, flat published pricing at $4,999/year Standard. Best for: small teams that want continuous light pulses.
15Five: Engagement fused with performance and manager training, from $4 per user a month for Engage ($11 for Perform), billed annually. 4.6/5 on G2 (1,900+ reviews), praised for fast implementation. Best for: 25 to 200 person companies that want engagement tied to weekly manager habits.
ThriveSparrow: A fast-deploying SMB engagement and performance tool with published pricing, repeatedly recommended in 2026 buyer guides for teams under 200. Best for: small teams wanting quick pulses with minimal setup.
Leapsome: The best-reviewed all-in-one (4.8/5 on G2, 2,360 reviews) with engagement surveys from €4 per employee a month, if you want engagement inside a full performance suite. Reviewers report template setup takes real effort. Best for: growing companies consolidating engagement and performance in one system.
CultureMonkey: The frontline specialist: surveys via WhatsApp, SMS, QR, and kiosks in 100+ languages. Best for: deskless and multilingual workforces that email-based tools can't reach.
Lattice: The mid-market suite (4.6/5 from 4,127 G2 reviews) from $4 per person a month for Engagement, with a $4,000 annual minimum. Cheaper than Culture Amp at small scale, still a platform commitment. Best for: 100+ companies that want Culture-Amp-style breadth at mid-market prices.
The short version
Leaving over price and weight: Org360 or Officevibe. Keeping the platform ambition: 15Five, Leapsome, or Lattice. Frontline workforce: CultureMonkey.
And if you're 200+ with an HR team ready to run a real listening program, stay. Culture Amp was built for you, and it's very good at its job.
Why Org360, in our own words
The list above is our honest read of the market. This note is openly our own case.
Years in and around organizations taught us where engagement efforts die. Surveys too long to finish. Answers too traceable to be honest. Results too abstract to act on.
So we built for the opposite. 12 or 24 questions people finish in 5 to 10 minutes. Confidentiality your team can check: in Highest mode, open-text answers are never shown, and the owner reads an AI summary instead. And a report that skips the analytics homework and hands you the plan.
We cost a fraction of the platforms because there's no platform underneath. Your first survey is free. Run it, read the report, decide for yourself.
